SharePoint Genesis Framework

Just wanted to give shout-out to my friend and colleague at Avega Group, Tony Restaino, and his new open source project called SP Genesis. The name of the project, I think, refers to a “new” (better) way to create (and working with) SharePoint artifacts such as fields, content types, lists, etc.

As Tony describes it:

“The SharePoint Genesis Framework for SharePoint 2010 gives you a new way to declare fields, content types, list instances and feature definitions in code. It also gives you a more flexible solution for handling entities than SPMetal and Linq-2-SharePoint”

Check it out at http://spgenesis.codeplex.com/ and I´ll be sure to post more on how to use it soon…

Cheers
